IRPA13 is placing emphasis on developing our next generation of radiation protection professionals. To this end we haveestablished a Young Professionals Prize competition for the best presentation by a young person at the Congress. Thereare 17 entrants nominated by Associate Societies, and these presentations are indicated by an asterisk (*) in this book. Given that the theme chosen for the Congress is Living with Radiation – Engaging with Society we also attach a copy ofIRPA’s Guiding Principles on Stakeholder Engagement, which we commend to your attention. I am sure that you will have an enjoyable and stimulating Congress, and I look forward to meeting as many of you aspossible.
